Caius Brediceanu
(b. April 25, 1879, Lugoj, Romania – d. 1953, Lădești, Romania)
Caius Brediceanu was a lawyer, a politician, and a diplomat. He studied Law at the University of Vienna. He returned home, became a lawyer, but also embraced a journalistic career as a correspondent of Tribuna (The Tribune) and Dreptatea (The Justice) newspapers.
Having participated as a delegate to the Grand National Assembly of Alba Iulia, he was elected notary and was charged with recording the proceedings. He was also made part of the Directing Council and of the Great Romanian National Council. He was one of the leaders who presented King Ferdinand with the Resolution adopted on December 1, 1918.
After 1919 he was appointed Ambassador to Argentina, then to Brazil, Chile, the Vatican and later Austria.
